Kangaroo

We were able to get very close with the kangaroos at the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary!

Here's a photo of Sam with a kangaroo. They were very tame and didn't really run away!

Hello Joey and the other Fifth Graders! We did see a lot of kangaroos yesterday! They were really friendly and very jumpy. Courtney almost fed one with a piece of grass in his mouth but I don't think that the kangaroo was really attracted to that idea. We saw little Joeys too which are baby kangaroos. Glad that you are enjoying our picutres we are going to the Botanical Gardens this morning. We will post pictures of those later. Enjoy the weather back in Wisconsin. It is raining here too!!! Take care!

Is it dangerous to hold a Koala bear? did you get scratched or bitten?

Holly,

I liked the Emu! I have a cat named Holly. It is like a tiger cat! I don't think it could chase an Emu.

Hello 5th graders! I am glad that you are enjoying the pictures:) We are having a wonderful time here is Australia. It was not dangerous to hold the koala because they had someone standing next to us to make sure the koala was nice to us;) The worker gently set the koala bear in our arms and we had to hold very still. They had very long nails but they didn't scratch us. Have a good day!

Caleb,
I'm glad you enjoyed the picture with me and the Emu! I have to say, it was pretty scary getting that close to it because I didn't know if he was going to chase me back!
That's cool that you have a cat with the same name as me. I have a cat too. His name is Grayson.
Take care, Holly.
