Project Director - Courtney Bauder
G'day Mates...My name is Courtney Bauder and I am leading this group of students to Australia this January. I am very excited because my mother is also coming on the trip with us. I am a teacher at UW Oshkosh and I love to travel. I have been lucky enough to travel all over the world. I have worked with children when I lived and taught in China, Japan, and Germany and have traveled all over Europe, east Africa, southern Asia, and central America, and I love to make friends with people from different cultures. I have never been to Australia before, so I am hoping that you and my students can help me learn about this wonderful place 'Down Under' as I try to teach you some things too.

Hi! My name is Joan Bauder and I am Courtney's mum. I'm not a student but I am really looking forward to this trip to Australia. I am from England and I have lived in Green Bay for 28 years. Go Packers! Before that I lived in Canada. I love to travel and have been to India, Nicaragua, Spain, and Greece. I hope you enjoy traveling with us to Australia. We want you to enjoy all of our experiences and we look forward to getting to know you.

Hello everyone! My name is Holly and I am a sophomore at UW-Oshkosh. I am majoring in Radio, TV, and Film and I am working towards a minor in Journalism. One day I hope to make it into a tv studio to do broadcast reporting. I am VERY excited to be able to go to Australia. Hi! My name is Lara Kallas. I am a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. I have a major in International Studies and minors in Geography and Religious Studies. I grew up in Princeton, Wisconsin. I have two older sisters name Emily and Helena. I also have a cat named Chip. In my free time I enjoy hiking, reading, kayaking, and many other things. I am looking forward to keeping in contract with you and sharing all of my wonderful Australian experiences.

Hey I'm Josh. I am 22 years old and a senior at UWO. I am studying Human Services and plan to get my masters to become a high school counselor. This is my first time studying abroad and I know that we are going to have a blast. I love to play soccer, water ski, swim, and play outside all the time. Once I get to Australia I plan on finding a kangaroo and going for a ride in it's pouch :)!!

Hello....I'm Heather Drunasky. I am a 21 year old senior working towards a degree in Liberal Studies. I am also working towards a minor in Women's Studies and Art. I am planning on going to graduate school once I graduate with my undergrad. I am not sure what I want to study in grad school. I know once I am all done with school, I am moving out to New York City. I am extremely excited to be able to take this trip and learn more about a different culture. This will be my first time out of the country without my family. This whole trip will definitely be a learning experience for me.

My name is Shay and I am from the small town of Antigo, Wisconsin. I am currently a senior at UW Oshkosh studying Human Services and Studio Art. I hope to help the community by becoming a counselor or an art therapist when I am finished with school. Hello!! I’m Jenny Braun. My major is Finance and Marketing along with a minor in Global Business. I really enjoy traveling and seeing what other parts of the world have to offer. I have currently traveled to multiple countries in Europe such as: Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Italy, France, and Belgium. I have also had the opportunity to explore the Cayman Islands, the Bahamas, and New Providence Island: Nassau. I look forward to discovering Australia and sharing this experience with you!

My name is Jordan I am in Grad School at the U of O. I went to St. Joe's school for fifth grade in the Town of Big Bend WI, small little class of maybe 20. I am 24 years old and have a brother that is 22. He is on this trip with me, his name is Blake. Beach volleyball is my favorite activity, I have played in Japan, Spain, California and so on. I won a State Championship at my High School, Catholic Memorial for volleyball. I have played on Oshkosh Men's team for the past 5 years and have an All-American award and a couple National Championships.

After college I plan on going to graduate school to become a community counselor. I am really excited to be able to help you all learn about Australia.
